As a Nutritional Care Assistant, you will be instrumental in aiding our dietetic professionals in providing top-notch nutritional support to our patients. You will collaborate closely with registered dietitians and other healthcare practitioners to assist in the evaluation, planning, and monitoring of patients' nutritional needs. This dynamic position allows you to gain insights and expertise across various medical, surgical, and food policy domains.

Key Responsibilities

A significant portion of your role will involve direct patient interaction on the ward, alongside responsibilities in administration, data management, display preparation, and resource organization.

A solid educational background in English and Mathematics, along with proficient computer skills, is essential, as this position operates in a fast-paced environment where you will engage with dietitians, healthcare professionals, and external services, assisting individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

Education and Qualifications

Essential

  • Minimum of GCSE grade C/4 or equivalent in English and Mathematics

Desirable

  • NVQ level 3/QCF in a food or health-related discipline
  • Basic food hygiene certification
