About the Role:
As a Service Delivery Manager at NFP People, you will thrive when building relationships with young people and have the passion and drive to achieve positive outcomes in challenging environments. The role is based in prisons and in the community, where you will be responsible for engaging young people in our life coaching workshops and one-to-one coaching. You will manage our team of freelance coaches and play a key role in project management and the smooth running of our coaching programmes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Building Relationships: You will have previous experience working with young people and/or in the prison service and enjoy working in a challenging and changing environment. Your responsibilities will include building relationships with young people in prison and engaging them in our coaching programmes.
- Relationship Maintenance: You will maintain these relationships before, during, and after coaching programmes to support retention and ongoing impact.
- Professional Relationships: You will build relationships with professionals in prison and in the community to increase meaningful referrals to our programmes.
- Team Management: You will manage and maintain regular contact with our team of Life Coaches.
- Calendar Management: You will oversee the calendar of coaches' availability to deliver coaching programmes and oversee the central record of scheduled workshops and one-to-one coaching sessions.
- Prison Vetting: You will coordinate and manage prison vetting and Key/safety training for all coaches working in prisons.
- Record Keeping: You will maintain records of all participants referred to and engaged in our programmes.
- Meetings and Reviews: You will have regular meetings with the main contact person within each prison to identify and action any concerns impacting on the delivery of our services. You will also participate in performance review meetings with prisons, commissioners, or funders as needed.
Essential Skills:
- People Skills: Outstanding people skills and the ability to engage with people from a variety of backgrounds and perspectives.
- Attention to Detail: Detail orientated, with the ability to manage deadlines.
- Pressure Management: Ability to keep calm under pressure, with tact and patience, when working in difficult environments.
- Understanding of Issues: Understanding of issues facing children and young people in prison and in the community.
- Staff Challenges: Understanding of challenges facing staff who work in the criminal justice system.
- Experience: Experience of youth work, youth engagement, and/or working with people who face disadvantage or challenges.
- Project Delivery: Experience of project delivery and management.
