Your Responsibilities: Cultivating Skills and Knowledge

As a Motor Vehicle Technician, your role extends beyond equipment maintenance; you will inspire curiosity and develop practical skills. Here’s what you will contribute:

  1. Collaborative Curriculum Support: Partner with Curriculum Managers and Department Heads to ensure your assistance meets the educational objectives.
  2. Preparation for Practical Learning: Organize materials, tools, and assessment requirements for demonstrations and hands-on activities.
  3. Equipment Management: Oversee the installation, inspection, and implementation of new tools and resources, ensuring optimal functionality.
  4. Tool Stewardship: Maintain and manage tools and equipment inventory, ensuring proper distribution and collection from students.
  5. Qualifications & Competencies:
    • Formal qualifications in the relevant field up to Level 2, including English and Maths.
    • A Level 2 IT qualification is preferred.
    • If you possess a minimum of Level 2 MV qualification, enrollment in a Level 3 course within the first year is required to support our Level 3 learners.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently.
    • Proficient IT and administrative skills for maintaining accurate records of tools and equipment.
    • Ability to demonstrate equipment usage while adhering to safety protocols.
    • Recent experience in a motor vehicle training environment or working towards a Level 3 qualification in the relevant field.
