Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Manager to join our team. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for overseeing and developing our purchasing and logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive buying strategy across all product categories, ensuring alignment with our overall business goals and objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiating favorable terms and maximizing margins.
  • Provide strong stock holding in all three warehouse locations, ensuring desirable stock levels are maintained efficiently.
  • Produce regular reports on departmental efficiency, including lead time from suppliers, stock aging reports, and stock movement insights.
  • Ensure data on items on the system is up to date, facilitating efficient and accurate running of purchasing administrative tasks.
  • Review and negotiate existing vendor contract agreements, and monitor supplier performance.
  • Liaise with sales teams and vendors to offer attractive project prices to customers.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand future stock requirements, anticipating future demand to ensure timely acquisition of product portfolio.
  • Identify potential risks and challenges related to stock procurement, and develop risk mitigation strategies.
Requirements
  • Purchasing or supply chain procurement qualification is essential.
  • Solid experience in a key buyer role or purchasing management role is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and stock planning system is desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills are necessary.
  • Ability to collaborate with different teams and use own initiative is essential.
  • Positive, can-do attitude with drive to be successful is required.
