Product Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Manager to join our Universal Business Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the development and launch of new products, ensuring they meet the needs of our sales team and the market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement product development strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Manage the product development budget and ensure strict control over expenditure.
  • Oversee the product development pipeline, ensuring it is driven by customer demand and technological innovation opportunities.
  • Manage product range, including identifying new products, conducting market research, and generating product briefs.
  • Work closely with Marketing to develop marketing strategies and communications for new products.
  • Collaborate with Sales to support technical product knowledge, range consolidations, and product trials.
  • Stay up-to-date on market trends, competitors' products, and launches.
  • Conduct thorough competitor analysis and maintain a strong assessment of the market.
  • Take a customer-driven approach, from initial idea to launch, maximizing opportunity for volume and profit.
  • Demonstrate an agile and dynamic mindset, ready to adapt to change and timeline demands.
  • Deliver on projects through a 'big picture' approach to the brand and relentless focus on delivery to the timeline agreed.
Sourcing:
  • Develop a detailed sourcing strategy to deliver the Business Plan and meet agreed timelines.
  • Work closely with Suppliers to ensure products meet quality and compliance standards.
  • Oversee receipt and despatch of product development samples and development materials.
Sustainability:
  • Stay ahead of market trends and requirements in sustainability.
  • Regularly visit key suppliers to capture new initiatives and opportunities.
  • Provide key messages to Marketing to ensure we communicate brand strengths and positioning.
Compliance:
  • Ensure Product legal regulatory compliance to all relevant geographical requirements.
  • Operate business processes to ensure the brand is always protected.
  • Manage product range control by geographical region, depending on legal and regulatory compliance requirements.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a Product Management role.
  • Ideal experience within PPE.
  • Knowledge of legal regulatory compliance.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Analysis and research skills.
Benefits:
  • Full-time role, Monday – Friday, 8.00am- 16.30pm.
  • Hybrid role, ideally 4 days per week in the office, 1 day work from home.
  • Salary- £65,000- £75,000 basic plus commission.
  • Company-wide profit share schemes.
