The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Contract Supervisor to join our dedicated team. Reporting to the Contract Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRCs) and Transfer Stations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations at HWRCs and Transfer Stations, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and contractual obligations.
  • Manage a team of operational staff, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
  • Monitor site performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure adherence to operational standards and environmental best practices.
  • Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain effective communication.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within the waste management industry.
  • Strong understanding of environmental regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid UK driving license.
