Catering Supervisor Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Catering Supervisor to join our team at Brereton School. As a key member of our catering team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the school kitchen, including ordering stock, preparing and cooking homemade school lunches for approximately 120-140 pupils each day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the school kitchen and catering team to ensure efficient and safe food preparation and service.
  • Develop and implement marketing initiatives to promote the catering service, including theme days and parent evenings/taster days.
  • Work within a food cost and labour budget to ensure financial sustainability.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety procedures and regulations.

About the Role:

This is a 27.5 hour per week term-time only position, with a fixed-term contract of 12 months. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to further develop the catering service and contribute to the success of our school.

What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary of £12.18-£12.38 per hour, with a total salary of £15,308.88-£15,899.01 per annum. We are committed to providing a supportive and inclusive work environment, and we offer opportunities for professional development and growth.
