About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Senior Analyst to join our team at E.ON, a leading international energy company. As a key member of our Commercial team, you will play a critical role in supporting the Generation Services growth strategy and maximizing the potential opportunity presented by the growing renewables market space.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead detailed modelling and analysis to ensure Generation Services meets its Business Plan, including monitoring a detailed KPI dashboard.
  • Produce management reports each month in conjunction with npower Finance to track Generation Services progress to meeting its Business Plan.
  • Provide monthly forecasting inputs into E.ON Energy Markets for the management of the Generation Services Renewable Obligation Certificate (ROC) and Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin (REGO) positions.
  • Ensure deal evaluation, transaction approvals (TARs) and deal approvals are executed in line with our Commercial Guardrails, Approved T&Cs and within our DoA mandate.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations, maintaining awareness of updates and changes.
  • Provide pivotal input to origination, structuring and execution of new renewable product transactions and power purchase agreements with internal & external counterparties to deliver significant gross margin.
  • Responsible for contributing to the development of new bespoke pricing, billing and settlement processes supporting a suite of complex electricity products, including those for embedded benefits, ROCs & REGO and netting arrangements.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience of exposure to dynamic, commercial environments with a track record of ongoing success.
  • Technical expertise will follow the full end-to-end contract life cycle, including advanced knowledge of relevant contract structures.
  • Experience in the development and negotiation of complex products and contractual arrangements.
  • The ability to make optimal decisions in a challenging fast-moving environment.
  • Have strong IT skills MS Office suite (especially Excel), VB(A), statistical packages.

Desirable Skills

  • A demonstratable understanding of the UK Energy Market including wholesale, retail, renewables, distribution, and generation market spaces.
  • Experience within Power Purchasing Agreements.
