Sembcorp Industries Ltd: Senior Settlements Analyst

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Settlements Analyst to join our team at Sembcorp Industries Ltd. As a key member of our Back Office team, you will be responsible for leading and performing daily, weekly, and monthly settlement tasks, working closely with internal commercial and trading teams, as well as external customers and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and Perform Settlement Tasks: Oversee and execute daily, weekly, and monthly settlement activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Time-Critical Invoicing: Lead and perform all time-sensitive invoicing tasks, resolving outstanding netting and invoicing issues through appropriate escalation processes.
  • Support for Gas Shipping and Power Supply: Provide essential support for gas shipping, power supply, and ancillary services portfolios.
  • Liaison with External Counterparties: Collaborate with external counterparties and network operators to reconcile trades, meter data, and flows.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Report month-end accruals to assist the Finance team with month-end close reporting and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Team Support and Development: Assist in submitting regulatory reports, support the training and development of other settlement analysts, and serve as the team's SME for settlement disputes and internal change projects.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in an operational and settlements support team, preferably in the UK power and gas supply industry.
  • People Management Skills: Good people management skills and experience.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Numerical and Analytical Skills: Strong numerical and analytical skills, with applied proficiency in Microsoft suite.
  • Driving License: A full UK driving license is required.
  • Right to Work: Right to work in the UK is essential.
