Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Sustainability Technical Lead with expertise in renewable energy to enhance our SES division. Our team operates on a national scale, and we encourage applications from candidates who are flexible in their working arrangements.

Your Responsibilities:

As a key player in renewable energy, you will serve as the technical and project lead for the execution of large-scale renewable energy generation and storage consultancy projects. Your primary focus will be on battery and solar technologies, although familiarity with other energy solutions will be advantageous. Your duties will encompass:
  • Overseeing the successful delivery of your project portfolio.
  • Building and nurturing essential client relationships.
  • Managing the commercial aspects of projects.
  • Coordinating team resources effectively.
  • Leading, recruiting, and developing team members.

Key Areas of Work:
  • Conducting net-zero carbon assessments at project and master planning levels.
  • Providing support for planning applications, including energy strategies and environmental evaluations.
  • Performing climate change analyses.
  • Developing ESG strategies.
  • Conducting Life-Cycle Carbon and Cost Analyses (LCCA).
  • Offering consultancy in renewable energy development.
  • Verifying carbon management processes.
Our team comprises a diverse mix of engineers and consultants, enabling us to deliver comprehensive project inputs from inception to completion.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you should possess experience in:
  • Managing distribution and transmission grid connection applications for large-scale renewable projects.
  • Developing renewable energy and storage solutions, including market and commercial frameworks.
  • Identifying renewable energy revenue opportunities.
  • Strategic technical knowledge of renewable technologies such as PV, Wind, Hydro, and Battery Energy Storage Systems.
  • Liaising with TNO/DNO during site viability assessments.
  • Acting as a technical lead for renewable energy project development.
  • Navigating the planning process for various development scales.
  • Engaging with supply chain partners and stakeholders.
  • Staying informed about industry developments and their implications.
