The division is actively pursuing a strategy aimed at enhancing its portfolio of low carbon energy sources, with a vision to significantly increase profitability while reducing carbon footprints by 2030.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Strategy Development:
  • Maintain a comprehensive overview of low carbon liquid gas production methods and supply sources, assessing their potential and relevance.
  • Evaluate DCC Energy's existing options against this overview and recommend new production avenues for exploration.
Project Evaluation:
  • Assist the sustainable gas team in analyzing proposed supply projects from a technical perspective.
  • Provide technical knowledge to empower team members in executing supply opportunities effectively.
  • Collaborate with partners to mitigate technical risks and enhance the competitiveness of gas supply outputs.
Partnership Development:
  • Identify and engage with key technical partners, including technology providers and contractors.
  • Facilitate collaboration with these partners to optimize project outcomes.
Market Analysis:
  • Participate in the review of market trends in renewable fuels and contribute insights to the low carbon liquid gas strategy.
  • Assist in evaluating new opportunities within the sustainable fuels sector.
Research Initiatives:
  • Propose and lead projects that advance innovative low carbon liquid gas production technologies.
  • Guide partners to maximize benefits for both the industry and DCC Energy.
Regulatory Support:
  • Assist in monitoring the regulatory landscape and evaluating the impact of potential changes on production development.
  • Engage in industry working groups focused on renewable gas.
Candidate Profile
  • Over 15 years of experience in research and development, engineering, or project development within the energy or chemicals sectors.
  • A master's degree in engineering or a related scientific field.
  • Expertise in relevant technologies such as biofuels, petrochemicals, or LPG.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information.
  • Proficient in collaborating with contractors to produce quality assessments.
  • A passion for renewable energy and a commitment to empowering others.
  • Fluency in English is essential, with proficiency in an additional European language preferred.
