Customer Service Associate - Retail

Overview

With a passion for engaging with individuals and a commitment to delivering exceptional service, you will greet and assist our patrons in the shop, addressing any inquiries they may have.

Compensation: £11.50 per hour

Employment Type: Fixed term contract

Work Schedule: 4 hours per week

Flexibility is essential to accommodate holidays and peak times, including weekends and public holidays. Your working hours will typically fall between 10am and 5pm, and you will often work independently.



Work Environment

You will be part of a dedicated team of 6 part-time members who share a love for retail and the mission of the organization. The shop operates with limited hours, and shifts are generally split into morning and afternoon sessions. While you will often work alone, the presence of volunteers and the supportive atmosphere of the site ensures you will never feel isolated. The team is enthusiastic and hardworking, and you will join us during an exciting period of growth as we expand our operations to seven days a week, enhancing our sales potential. Special events, such as seasonal celebrations, contribute to our vibrant community.

Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Associate, your primary role will involve assisting customers with their shopping needs and providing guidance on their purchases. Additional responsibilities will include:

  • Receiving, unpacking, and organizing deliveries
  • Creating visually appealing shop displays
  • Collaborating with team members to maintain a clean and orderly shop environment

This position is physically demanding, particularly during delivery times, but it primarily involves serving visitors in a retail setting.
