About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head of Environment and Sustainability to join our team at Pratap Partnership. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading our environmental and sustainability initiatives, ensuring alignment with our company's mission and values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Environmental Advice: Provide expert environmental advice to our management team, HSEQ team, and project management teams to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and best practices.
  • Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive CSR strategy, aligning with our company's objectives and client requirements.
  • Sustainability Strategies: Collaborate with our managers to develop and implement sustainability strategies, ensuring we meet our environmental targets and objectives.
  • Environmental Targets: Work with our Group Head of HSEQ to set and achieve environmental targets and objectives.
  • Tender Support: Assist our tenders team with environmental, CSR, and sustainability responses to ensure we meet client requirements.
  • ISO14001 Compliance: Ensure compliance with ISO14001 and maintain our integrated management system.
  • Regulatory Reporting: Report on environmental, CSR, and sustainability matters to UK and European regulatory bodies.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor performance through audits and site monitoring to ensure we meet our environmental targets.
  • Environmental Management Plans (EMPs): Develop and review EMPs and Site Waste Management Plans (SWMPs) to ensure effective waste management.
  • Training and Development: Create briefings and support training package development to ensure our team is equipped to meet environmental challenges.
  • Waste Management: Support our facilities and project management teams in waste management arrangements.
  • Environmental Risk Assessments: Conduct environmental risk assessments and carbon footprint measurements to inform our sustainability strategies.
  • Statistical Analysis: Support statistical analysis and report production to ensure we are meeting our environmental targets.

Requirements:

  • Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv): Must hold a Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) qualification.
  • Full Member of IEMA: Must be a full member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) or equivalent.
  • Degree in Environmental Sciences: Must hold a degree in environmental sciences or equivalent.
  • Construction Experience: Must have experience working in the construction industry.
  • IT Skills: Must have strong IT skills and practical knowledge of environmental legislation.
