Design Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a creative and organized individual to join our design team at Penguin Random House Children's. As a Design Assistant, you will be responsible for providing design and administrative support for our picture books team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the design and production of picture books, including updating brand sheets and managing reprints.
  • Produce mock-ups and reimagining previously published books into fresh new formats.
  • Work on your own projects where appropriate, demonstrating a keen design eye and good typographic skills.
Requirements:
  • Fluency in the use of the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop & Illustrator).
  • Good understanding of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrable interest in picture books and children's books.
  • Organized, able to prioritize and juggle multiple responsibilities.
  • Flexible in their approach and able to work to tight deadlines.
