Design Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Design Assistant to join our team in a busy fitted furniture showroom in Chelsea, South West London.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting our designers with drawing room and furniture plans for presentation to clients. This will involve working with room plans to create technical drawings for client projects, as well as liaising with clients over the phone to arrange appointments for our designers.

Other key duties will include dealing with email enquiries, liaising with head office to place furniture orders and arrange deliveries, and working with numbers and measurements to ensure accuracy.

Previous experience of using CAD would be highly beneficial, but not essential. We are looking for someone who is able to work well in a team, is highly organized, and has excellent communication skills.

This is a 5-day per week role, including Saturdays, with Sundays and one other day off per week. Hours are 9.30am - 6pm, and we are looking for someone who is able to commit to this schedule.

In the longer term, this role could progress into a Designer role, so we are looking for someone who is keen to develop their skills and progress their career.
