Job Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate individual to join our team as a Maintenance Operative in a customer-facing environment. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for maintaining student residences to the highest standards, ensuring compliance with health and safety and legislative requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform DIY tasks, including plumbing, painting, decorating, and joinery, for communal spaces and studios as required.
- Conduct grounds upkeep where applicable.
- Manage and maintain building facilities, either by carrying out works yourself or by procuring external contractors as advised by the service desk.
- Maintain the residence to brand standards, involving painting, floor laying, joinery works, and replacements.
- Ensure compliance when responding to identified maintenance faults.
- Ensure compliance of the building with all health and safety requirements.
- Manage and record the routine testing, maintenance, and risk assessment of all aspects of the residence.
Requirements:
- Technical knowledge and practical experience in maintenance and repair.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks.
