DXA Specialist Clinical Scientist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced DXA Specialist Clinical Scientist to lead the DXA section within our Nuclear Medicine Department at Singleton Hospital. This is a pivotal role where you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality DXA services, driving continuous improvement, and leading a team of dedicated professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough DXA image validation, evaluation, and reporting, adhering to strict quality standards.
- Provide expert guidance and mentorship to the DXA team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- Collaborate effectively with key stakeholders across the department and wider healthcare network to enhance service delivery and patient care.
- Develop and implement innovative strategies to optimize DXA services, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Possess a BSc Degree in Nuclear Medicine, Diagnostic Radiography, or Nursing.
- Hold an MSc in a relevant specialist area, demonstrating advanced knowledge and expertise.
- Be registered with the HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) as a Clinical Scientist.
- Have successfully completed the ROS national training scheme for DXA.
- Possess a recognized Reporting Qualification, ensuring accurate and comprehensive reporting of DXA findings.
