About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an Associate Director, Non-Clinical Pharmacokinetics. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to drive strategy and support projects by exploring PK/PD relationships in pre-clinical models.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and drive the nonclinical PKPD strategy for projects, ensuring effective communication and implementation.
  • Translate in vitro data and in vivo nonclinical studies to predict efficacy and safety in patients.
  • Collaborate with multifunctional teams to advance drug candidates and build a thorough knowledge of drug pharmacology and PKPD.
  • Build PKPD models to test hypotheses and inform decision-making.
  • Provide scientific and technical input, expertise, and leadership to the Non-clinical PKPD group, project teams, and the department.
  • Work with external partners, academic institutions, CROs, and consultants as required.
  • Maintain awareness of new and emerging techniques and tools relevant to the field.
  • Represent the interests of the company internally and externally in matters relevant to mechanistic PKPD.
  • Contribute to Due Diligence of external project, product, and technology opportunities.
  • Support regulatory study protocols, reports, and summaries, and regulatory submission documents.
Requirements

We are looking for a highly qualified professional with a PhD in a relevant discipline, such as pharmacology, bioengineering, pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics, etc. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of pharmacology and the pharmacology processes related to disease and drug mechanisms.

  • Expertise and proven application of PKPD methods and concepts in support of drug discovery and development.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing effective nonclinical PKPD strategies from early discovery through to clinic.
  • Innovative, self-motivated, team-oriented scientist with good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in a matrix environment, capable of working effectively in teams and influencing relevant stakeholders.
  • Experience working within a matrix environment with a wide range of internal stakeholders.
  • Record of publications and other external scientific contributions relevant to PKPD.
  • Experience in using modeling and simulation packages such as Phoenix, Berkeley Madonna, Monolix, R.
