Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Paediatric Nurse to join our innovative Virtual Ward team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to children and young people in their homes, using a combination of face-to-face visits, telephone contact, and video calls.

About the Role

This is a part-time role, working hours to be discussed during the recruitment process. You will be part of a dynamic team that aims to improve the flow of patients within the acute inpatient setting and provide care to patients closer to home.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver excellent nursing care to children and young people in their homes, using a combination of face-to-face visits, telephone contact, and video calls.
  • Work collaboratively with the Virtual Ward team to develop and implement disease-specific pathways that support early discharge and prevent unnecessary hospital admissions.
  • Participate in medical handover daily to pull patients onto the ward that reside within our catchment area.
  • Contribute to the development of the Virtual Ward project, including the creation of new pathways and the evaluation of existing ones.

We are looking for a Paediatric Nurse with:

Experience in acute and community paediatrics.Excellent communication and teaching skills.Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.Commitment to high-quality patient care and a passion for innovation and improvement.
