Job Title: Clinical Psychologist

NHS Scotland is committed to providing high-quality mental health services, and we are seeking a skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Psychologist to lead our specialist CAMHS outpatient caseload. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical supervision and support to trainee psychologists, multidisciplinary clinicians, and staff within the designated clinical area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a specialist CAMHS outpatient caseload
  • Provide clinical supervision and support to trainee psychologists, multidisciplinary clinicians, and staff
  • Develop and implement psychology teaching, training, consultancy, and supervision activities
  • Conduct audit and research relevant to the service area
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical psychology, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Please note that this post requires a PVG Scheme membership/record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group, an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.

NHS Scotland is reducing its full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024, with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro-rata for part-time staff. You may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
