Personal Assistant for Child with Complex Needs

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Personal Assistant to support our 8-year-old daughter, Natalia, who has a diagnosis of Non-ketotic hyperglycinemia. The successful candidate will work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to provide personal care and support to Natalia.
Main Responsibilities:- Assist with personal care needs, including changing clothes and nappies, administering medications and feeds through a gastrostomy tube, and maintaining correct body posture.
- Support Natalia with leisure activities, such as playing with light, sound, and sensory toys, reading books, and listening to music.
- Recognize and respond to epilepsy attacks in accordance with the epilepsy plan and administer rescue medication as required.
- Assist with all position transfers and provide support with accessing interests and hobbies.
- Monitor and support Natalia's healthcare needs, including administering medication and maintaining feeding.
- Support the learning of new skills and provide a safe and nurturing environment for Natalia.
- Training in epilepsy and mental health awareness.
- Childcare qualification and experience working with children with complex needs.
- Skilled or trained in gastrostomy feeding and administering medications.
- Understanding of Natalia's specific health diagnosis and ability to recognize and respond to her needs.
