Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice on compliance with UK and foreign import/export laws
  • Work with stakeholders to address trade compliance aspects in projects from the early stages
  • Ensure correct Control List Classification and Customs Classifications
  • Manage Export Control and Trade Compliance aspects of Equipment and Technology

  • Support internal/external audits on Export Control and Trade Compliance

Skills, Qualifications & Knowledge:

Essential:

  • Experienced in export control and trade compliance
  • Excellent written and interpersonal skills
  • Good knowledge of UK Export Licensing and foreign import/export regulations
  • Presentation skills and computer literacy
  • Experienced in meeting management and communication

Desirable:

  • Awareness of SAP ERP and trade compliance in aerospace, defence, and security sector

This role involves using display screen equipment full-time during the normal working week, working in a demanding environment with tight deadlines. The Trade Compliance Specialist will be based at Leonardo's facility and will support the Electronics business operations throughout the UK.
