Compliance Manager

Leonardo UK Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Compliance Manager to join its Trade Compliance Function. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the management of all aspects of UK Export Control and Compliance, as well as other relevant trade control laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide expert advice and guidance to individuals and managers at all levels within the Edinburgh business to ensure compliance with UK and foreign import/export laws.
- Work with the Edinburgh business to understand Business Winning aspirations and ensure that trade compliance aspects are considered at an early stage.
- Support and attend Business Winning Reviews and Order Acceptance reviews to ensure export control and trade compliance matters are considered and actively addressed.
- Deliver Export Control and Trade Compliance training to ensure the Edinburgh business and functions are briefed on and aware of Trade Compliance matters relevant to their projects.
- Lead the site Trade Compliance team to ensure full compliance with UK export licences and other UK authorisations.
- Experienced export control/trade compliance practitioner with detailed knowledge of UK Export Licensing, including Trade Controls.
- Good working knowledge of foreign import/export regulations, particularly EU Member States and the US ITAR and US EAR.
- Strong interpersonal/influencing skills to support decision-making based on credible knowledge of International Trade.
- Good all-round computer literacy including Microsoft Office applications.
This is a hybrid role using display screen equipment working full time hours during the normal working week. The role involves working to tight deadlines on a regular basis and may require national and international travel.
The successful candidate will be part of a team providing Import/Export Control and Trade Compliance support to the Electronics business operations throughout the UK.
