We are looking for a proactive and committed WINEP Engagement Manager to take on a pivotal role, reporting to the Water Quality Policy and Strategy Manager. In this essential position, you will act as the main liaison for managing internal WINEP (Water Industry National Environment Programme) inquiries and ensuring they align with customer environmental expectations.

As the WINEP Engagement Manager, you will be instrumental in developing engagement strategies that showcase the environmental achievements and outcomes realized throughout the year. Your contributions will be vital in keeping both internal stakeholders and customers informed about our environmental advancements and commitments.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Water Quality Policy and Strategy Manager to formulate an engagement strategy for WINEP, identifying target audiences and necessary engagement tools. Assist in reviewing and refining WINEP processes, providing valuable insights on effective communication with internal stakeholders. Create summaries of the WINEP work programme to enhance overall business understanding of delivery contexts and outcomes. Aid in responding to regulatory inquiries related to WINEP. Contribute to our commitment to transparency in data regarding our Get River Positive initiative, ensuring WINEP obligations are accessible and comprehensible to target audiences. Design a training program for key internal audiences to facilitate the effective dissemination of WINEP communication materials. Develop engagement strategies for various work programmes, ensuring visibility and regular updates as needed. Support the monitoring and management of WINEP delivery risks through open communication with the WINEP Delivery Assurance Manager and technical leads. Engage with operational teams to ensure awareness of upcoming obligations and acceptance of new permit conditions. Coordinate with internal communications teams to ensure that materials and engagement strategies are consistent across the organization. Work with corporate communications teams to understand essential reporting requirements related to WINEP delivery. Assist in managing environmental datasets to ensure accuracy and visibility throughout the organization.

Qualifications and Skills:

A degree in a relevant environmental or scientific discipline, or equivalent experience. Experience in environmental regulation. Familiarity with the Water Industry and/or environmental regulators, particularly regarding WINEP development. Proven ability to make commercial decisions amidst conflicting priorities. Experience in public speaking and representing to external audiences and regulators. Ability to influence stakeholders and navigate regulatory and political landscapes. Relevant professional qualifications or membership in a professional body. Capability to assess risks and make significant decisions with limited information. Strong leadership abilities. Attention to detail and the ability to convey technical information to diverse audiences.
