Job Summary:

The role of Transport Coordinator is a key position within our organization, responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient delivery and removal of raw materials, finished goods, and waste. This involves coordinating with various stakeholders, including UK and international hauliers, and the procurement team to organize collections and delivery slots.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with stakeholders to organize collections and delivery slots
  • Organize and manage driver paperwork
  • Coordinate with the Logistics team to schedule deliveries and ensure smooth movement of transport around the site
  • Build and maintain excellent working relationships with the team, suppliers, and customers
  • Deal with and manage any transport issues, such as delays in deliveries
  • Record and input information into the ERP system
  • Ensure the safe movement of transport and materials/goods to all areas of the facility
  • Maintain adherence to company rules, policies, and procedures

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of transport functions, particularly road freight
  • Knowledge and experience of customs procedures, particularly around the export of goods
  • Strong and confident communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills to coordinate transport functions in a busy environment
  • Analytical approach and attention to detail with the ability to question processes and issues
  • Ability to multitask and solve issues in a fast-paced environment
  • Good IT skills
  • Background in Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain

What We Offer:

  • Excellent salary range of £27,000-£32,000
  • Working hours of Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4pm
