Shipping Coordinator/ Despatch

We are looking to appoint a Shipping Coordinator with the priamry responsibility for preparing goods including paperwork to be despatched in a timely manner.

You will:

- Be pivotal to the success of our business. It is the last part of our Label production process where we have to ensure products leave us on time, in full, with the correct paperwork and prepared to our high standards.
- Prioritise your workload as the role can be fast paced with a combination of individual box work and palletised work required for shipping and preparation at the same time.
- Accurately complete documentation (Delivery notes, commercial invoices, booking references), as well as our internal quality records
- Participate in monthly stock take, project work and initiate improvements to the efficiency of shipping
- Load shipments onto trucks - a forklif licence will be required (training available)

**MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Reviewing shipping lists to ensure all work is shipped in a timely manner ensuring our OTIF is met. This includes both individual parcels and palletised work.
- Paperwork (Delivery Notes, Commercial Invoices) are required for some jobs and will need to be prepared ready for shipment.
- Prepare and arrange transport and export documents for shipment.
- Coordinate with customer services to ensure timely and complete despatch of goods.
- Coordinate collections/returns from customers.
- Raise any quality issues that are found.
- You will be responsible for booking finished products into stock locations in the warehouse.
- You will be responsible for controlling and ensuring the stock of finished products is accurate.
- Loading of shipment pallets onto trucks via Forklift once trained.

- Learn some aspects of the warehouse control role for occasional cover.

**Most Challenging Parts of the Post**
- Coordinating work to be shipped every day.
- Moving work around the factory to ensure it is ready for collection.
- Ensuring all areas are kept clean, tidy, and safe in the high-volume factory.

**Person Specification**
- Proven **experience in logistics** would be preferred, including booking and processing deliveries, dealing with multiple couriers.
- Experience **dealing with customs documentation **would be highly advantageous.
- The Shipping Coordinator is expected to work **autonomously** with the support of the Operations Excellence Manager and Supply Chain Manager.
- Ability to work **quickly and accurately with attention to detail.**:

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to work and concentrate under pressure in a high-volume factory.
- Work within the team to generate continuous improvement projects.
- Achieve agreed targets.
- Forklift license will be required (Full training can be provided).
- Problem solving abilities with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good time management, ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
- Positive attitude and self-motivation.
