Quality Engineer Job Description

Job Title: Quality Engineer

Location: Rochester

Salary: From 45,000 to 52,000

Gold Group is a world-renowned company specialising in arms, security, and aerospace. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Engineer to contribute to cutting-edge technological advancements in a dynamic and collaborative work environment.

The Role:

As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the Helmet Mounted Displays (HMD) & Active Inceptor Systems (AIS) project teams concerning Quality Assurance tasks and activities. This includes planning, conducting, reporting, and effectively communicating Quality Assurance tasks and activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting Quality Assurance tasks and activities for HMD & AIS project teams
  • Planning, conducting, and reporting Quality Assurance tasks and activities
  • Leading junior members of the Quality Assurance department in conducting tasks and activities
  • Engagement with HMD & AIS Management and Teams on Quality System matters

Requirements:

  • Experience of EN9100 (AS9100) Quality System requirements
  • Proficiency of First Article Inspections to AS9102
  • Quality Assurance Planning, Estimating, and Estimates to Complete
  • Supplier Quality Assurance Management
  • Drawing and Document Reviews and Configuration Management
  • Experience in leading complex Root Cause & Corrective Action investigations

Desirable:

  • Awareness of the development life cycle of projects from phase 2 to phase 5
  • Knowledge of APQP/PPAP to AS9145
  • Previous experience in electronic products
  • Proficiency in compliance procedures: Systems / Safety - APR 4754 / ARP 4761
