Salary: £23,795 - £25,000 per annum (dependant on qualification/s and experience)

Location: Canterbury, Kent

We are seeking a dedicated, full-time Kitchen Facilitator to join our Bright Horizons Canterbury nursery. This nursery is recognized for its 'Good' rating by Ofsted and features an expansive and engaging outdoor area. The main garden includes an outdoor classroom, a cycling path, two low-level tree houses, a climbing net, a water feature, as well as digging and planting zones, and creative boards for chalk and painting.

What you'll be doing

Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, complying with both internal and external standards Assist the Chef in preparing and cooking nutritious meals for children, minimizing food waste In the Chef's absence, oversee kitchen operations, ensuring all dietary needs are met and communicated effectively Promote child welfare, health and safety, and safeguarding practices Collaborate with the Chef to meet budgetary goals and manage stock levels efficiently Work alongside colleagues to foster a positive, safe, and enjoyable environment

What we're looking for

Previous experience in a cooking or kitchen role within a domestic or commercial setting A passion for nutrition and promoting healthy eating habits Food Safety CIEH Level 2 or equivalent – certification must be obtained on the first day of employment Strong understanding of COSHH regulations Ability to manage various dietary requirements, particularly food allergies Excellent communication skills with colleagues, children, and parents Capability to work effectively under pressure
