Job Overview:
Connect Group is on the lookout for a proactive and skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our expanding team. This position is ideal for individuals who excel in a dynamic environment, providing support for client solutions within a well-established operational framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide timely support responses and effective technical solutions.
- Set up, support, and maintain both hardware and software systems (Windows, Apple OS, Office & Microsoft 365, Active Directory, remote access, disaster recovery, and backup solutions).
- Oversee physical servers, networking, SAN infrastructure, virtualized environments, security measures, and Azure services.
- Address proactive monitoring alerts and manage client solutions (Azure Backup, VMware, SAN storage).
- Update and implement new technologies while ensuring that client documentation remains current.
- Guide and support junior Service Desk Engineers.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a Service Desk Engineer role.
- Certification in 'Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals' or 'Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals'.
Essential Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Apple OS.
- Experience with Microsoft Server.
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Office 365 suite (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, etc.).
- Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Server, Exchange Server, and Remote Desktop Services.
- Experience with Hosted Telephony Administration (e.g., RingCentral, 8x8).
- Understanding of Server and SAN solutions (e.g., Dell, HPE).
- Knowledge of Backup and Disaster Recovery solutions (e.g., Microsoft, Veeam, BackupExec, Azure).
Additional Knowledge:
- Virtualization Management.
- Networking principles.
- Firewall Administration.
- Microsoft Azure.
- Microsoft PowerShell and Scripting.
