Behaviour Support Specialist

Job Summary:
The London School Alliance is seeking a highly skilled Behaviour Support Assistant to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to students with SEN, focusing on those with ADHD, ADD, learning difficulties, and Autism.
- Develop and implement strategies to manage and reduce challenging behaviour in the classroom.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to create and adapt lesson plans tailored to individual student needs.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as necessary.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
- Assist in the development of personalized behaviour plans and interventions.
- Maintain accurate records of student behaviour and progress, reporting any concerns to the SEN Coordinator.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in SEN support.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a similar role or as a SEN Teaching Assistant.
- Strong understanding of SEN and behaviour management principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff.
- Highly motivated and committed to making a positive impact on student outcomes.
