We are partnering with a Local Authority in Enfield to assist with the appointment of a Behaviour Support Practitioner on a 3-month contract, with potential for extension. Please submit your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £19.95-£24.39 per Hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality, safe care and support to children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder, learning disabilities, and behaviours of concern, using a Positive Behaviour Support framework.
  • Support children and young people in their homes, centres, or communities to give parents a break from their caring responsibilities.
  • Work closely with parents, carers, and school settings to embed strategies and interventions that promote positive change, build skills, and develop resilience.
  • Offer specialist advice and support to families via phone or in-person to prevent escalation of behaviours of concern in challenging situations.
  • Be available to work outside of normal hours to provide timely advice and support and prevent crisis escalation.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in childcare and/or health and social care is desirable.
  • Proven ability to work directly with disabled children and young people who have multiple and complex needs and behaviours of concern in a professional setting.

Important Notes:

  • You should be available to start immediately or at short notice.
  • You must have the right to work in the UK.
  • This role requires an enhanced DBS.
