Job Description

**Job Summary**

Semco Maritime is seeking a highly skilled Close Out Coordinator to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term basis. This role reports to the Engineering Manager and is responsible for ensuring the successful completion of projects and operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering input to estimates for project and operations close-out work scope, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
  • Ensure that all work complies with the Contract Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies and procedures, in line with industry best practices.
  • Provide checking of discipline documents, complete interdisciplinary checking of documents against Red Line marks where necessary, and ensure that all changes are risk-assessed and documented.
  • Provide input to weekly progress and planning meetings, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and aligned.
  • Ensure that appropriate budgets exist for close-out work and that workpacks are fully closed, with close-out reporting metrics updated to reflect overall burden.
  • Ensure that all equipment is off-hired, and all costs codes are closed appropriately, in accordance with client procedures.
  • Participate in the Close Out team, assembling drawings from red line markups (P&IDs, line diagrams, etc.), and ensure compliance with client drawing procedures.
  • Liaise with Project Teams and Engineers as required, maintaining a strong working relationship and ensuring effective communication.
  • Maintain a drawing register, self-check all drawings produced to ensure accuracy against mark-up, and perform other related duties as requested by the Engineering Manager.

Requirements

  • Diligence in meeting action/close-out deadlines, with a strong focus on project completion.
  • Good understanding of close-out requirements, with experience in client drawing management systems an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Finisher qualities, with a strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
