Apprentice - Level 3 in Engineering and Manufacturing

Gem Partnership is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice - Level 3 in Engineering and Manufacturing to join our team. As an Apprentice, you will play a crucial role in ensuring processes are available to meet customer and production requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct ongoing analysis and continuous improvement of existing processes to optimize cost, quality, delivery, and overall equipment effectiveness.
- Evaluate customer requirements to support new product activity and ensure seamless integration into production.
- Collaborate with production teams to develop and implement efficient production processes, tooling, jigs, and equipment.
- Provide technical support and assistance to production and maintenance teams to drive continuous improvement.
- Work closely with engineers, managers, and production staff to transfer processes into production and ensure successful implementation.
- Develop and maintain production documentation, standard operating procedures, and training materials to ensure adherence from production teams.
- Monitor and analyze internal KPI and yield metrics to drive improvements and optimize production efficiency.
- Interact with suppliers to specify, develop, and implement efficient and cost-effective systems, equipment, and processes.
Candidates should hold at least a HND in a relevant engineering discipline and have at least 2 years of experience in a similar engineering role supporting fast-moving manufacturing processes. Experience with systemic improvement methodologies such as six sigma or lean will be a distinct advantage.
