Job Title: Senior Fire Engineer

Location: Remote or Hybrid from our offices in Manchester/London

Bureau Veritas Group is seeking a highly experienced Senior Fire Engineer to join our team of industry-leading experts. As a Senior Fire Engineer, you will provide high-quality technical guidance and innovative solutions for a diverse client base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain excellent industry relationships and information on fire engineering projects and opportunities.
  • Provide technical guidance and expertise into key areas within proposals and tenders.
  • Manage fire engineering projects across various sectors, including project team, progress, and budget.
  • Liaise with and maintain good relations with clients, design teams, and approval bodies.
  • Attend meetings to update project status and adjust delivery models and schedules as needed.
  • Review project technical information to prepare fire strategies and provide ongoing support from initial concept through to final completion.
  • Undertake fire engineering analysis, including radiation, smoke modeling, structural, and third-party reviews.
  • Provide design and construction support, including site visits as required.
  • Develop, analyze, review, and issue reports.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Degree in Fire Engineering or equivalent engineering qualification. A Master's in Fire Engineering or Engineering is an advantage.
  • Demonstrable fire engineering experience.
  • Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartered status (Interim Registration with the Engineer Council).
  • Experience of site visits/inspection for existing buildings and during construction.
  • Experience of structural fire engineering is beneficial.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize.
  • Customer-focused and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and good report writing skills.
  • Proficiency in the use of standard IT applications (Word, Excel).
  • Strives to improve performance and uses innovative methods to achieve this.
  • Full UK driving license.
