Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for providing financial leadership and support to our clients in the water, recycling, and energy treatment sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present financial reports, including monthly management accounts, to tight deadlines.
  • Conduct analysis and investigation of financial results and variances for operational units, including group consolidation processes.
  • Visit sites and interact with operations to ensure accurate financial reporting and support for business development.
  • Prepare forecasts and budget workings with senior management and local operational teams.
  • Assist with statutory accounts preparation and the annual group audit process.
  • Ensure all contracts comply with group financial policies and procedures.
  • Work with clients on contract performance and adapt systems to changes in service.
  • Monitor and evaluate procedures to ensure financial and cash flow forecasting remains accurate and effective.
  • Control and report on capital expenditure.
  • Perform financial analysis of operational data and KPIs.
  • Manage stock control, including accuracy of accounting.
  • Provide project support, including data collection and reconciliation.
  • Perform ad-hoc financial and administrative tasks.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) with post-qualification experience.
  • Manufacturing or engineering sector background.

Desirable Experience:

  • Knowledge of Workday and PFI accounting.
  • Waste or recycling management sector background.
