About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Volunteer Program Manager to join our team at With You. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in promoting, coordinating, and supporting volunteering across our service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with local partner agencies, community groups, charities, and organizations to promote volunteering opportunities.
  • Provide advice and support to staff who are working with, managing, and/or supporting volunteers.
  • Deal promptly and professionally with all enquiries relating to volunteering to ensure positive outcomes for volunteers and With You.
  • Support the development of organizational skills and knowledge-based training packages (to include substance misuse and related issues) suitable for volunteers.
  • Undertake monitoring of all aspects of the volunteering program and recording to the standards of accuracy and detail required by funders and With You.
  • Act as an effective advocate for volunteering throughout the service and across the organization, keeping fully up to date with external developments and best practice in volunteering policy and practice.
Requirements
  • Experience working within the voluntary sector.
  • Experience of leading and managing a voluntary program.
  • Hold a Volunteer Management Qualification (or be able to demonstrate significant experience of managing volunteer programs).
  • Experience of delivering induction and training programs, dedicated to empowering volunteers and supporting those affected by substance misuse.
  • Knowledge of best practice in volunteering, with the ability to support colleagues to deliver high-quality volunteering experiences.
  • Highly organized, with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
