About the Role

The Volunteer Coordinator will be responsible for developing and maintaining effective relationships with local partner agencies, community groups, charities, and organizations to promote volunteering opportunities. You will provide advice and support to staff who are working with, managing, and/or supporting volunteers, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality volunteering experiences.

You will also be responsible for dealing promptly and professionally with all enquiries relating to volunteering, ensuring positive outcomes for volunteers and With You. Additionally, you will support the development of organizational skills and knowledge-based training packages suitable for volunteers, and undertake monitoring of all aspects of the volunteering program, recording to the standards of accuracy and detail required by funders and With You.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with local partner agencies, community groups, charities, and organizations to promote volunteering opportunities
  • Provide advice and support to staff who are working with, managing, and/or supporting volunteers
  • Deal promptly and professionally with all enquiries relating to volunteering
  • Support the development of organizational skills and knowledge-based training packages suitable for volunteers
  • Undertake monitoring of all aspects of the volunteering program, recording to the standards of accuracy and detail required by funders and With You
Requirements

We are looking for candidates with experience working within the voluntary sector, as well as experience of leading and managing a voluntary program. You will hold a Volunteer Management Qualification (or be able to demonstrate significant experience of managing volunteer programs) with experience of delivering induction and training programs, being dedicated to empowering volunteers and supporting those affected by substance misuse.

You will have knowledge of best practice in volunteering, with the ability to support colleagues to deliver high-quality volunteering experiences. You will be highly organized, with excellent communication skills and be able to manage your time effectively.
