Senior Counselling/Clinical/CBT Therapist

We are excited to announce a full-time substantive 8a position in our newly established East London NHS Foundation Trust Community Eating Disorders service.
We are seeking a Senior Clinical or Counselling Psychologist/CBT Therapist to join our expanding team of psychologists, therapists, clinical associates in psychology, and dieticians working to deliver high-quality community mental health care packages.
This role will support individuals who meet diagnostic criteria for an eating disorder and will focus on residents whose eating disorder has a mild/moderate impact on their physical health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead in the continuing development of a high-quality service and contribute to local emergency planning, team risk assessment, and policy formulation.
- Work closely with the Service Lead to develop and implement operational and clinical policies.
- Coordinate and manage the FREED and Community project, providing a safe, effective, and therapeutic clinical service.

Person Specification:
- Essential:
- Qualifications: Doctorate in Counselling Psychology or Clinical Psychology, or equivalent, with eligibility for BPS CPsychol (Chartered Psychologist) or Accredited training as a CBT Therapist.
- Registration: UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).
- Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to the specialty.
- Desirable:
- Further training or qualifications in specialized areas of psychological practice, such as supervision or therapeutic models used in eating disorders.
- Experience in contributing to service development, redesign, and improvements in secondary mental health services.
- Able to take a lead on service developments and projects with delegated responsibility.
