About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Project Support Officer to join our Technical Communities team in the South West of England. As a Project Support Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of the Hinkley Point C Project engineering contract.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Responsible Designer Contract Project Managers in managing the RD Contract and ensuring that the engineering is delivered safely to cost, schedule, and quality.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
  • Assist in the delivery of the contract and associated activities to ensure they are achieved safely, on time, to budget, and meeting business and technical requirements.
  • Monitor and manage client governance processes, tracking progress against milestones, deadlines, and budget.
  • Coordinate and record meetings, produce project documentation, and provide supporting guidance.
  • Anticipate, manage, and resolve issues within the contract, using escalation routes when necessary.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in Project Management or Project Engineering on large or complex engineering or construction projects is desirable.
  • Knowledge of and experience in working with NEC contracts.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Coordination skills and leadership.
  • Decision-making and escalation ability for resolution of issues.
  • Budget and commercial awareness.
  • Ability to learn quickly and demonstrate evidence of using a 'problem-solving' approach.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with and effectively manage internal and external stakeholders.
