We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Project Support Officer to join our Technical Communities team in the South West of England. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of the Hinkley Point C (HPC) Project engineering contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Responsible Designer (RD) Contract Project Managers in managing the RD Contract and ensuring that the engineering is delivered safely to cost, schedule, and quality.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
- Assist in the delivery of the contract and associated activities to ensure they are achieved safely, on time, to budget, and meeting business and technical requirements.
- Monitor and manage client governance processes, tracking progress against milestones, deadlines, and budget.
- Coordinate and record meetings, produce project documentation, and provide supporting guidance.
- Anticipate, manage, and resolve issues within the contract, using escalation routes when necessary.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in Project Management or Project Engineering on large or complex engineering or construction projects is desirable.
- Knowledge of and experience in working with NEC contracts.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Coordination skills and leadership.
- Decision-making and escalation ability for resolution of issues.
- Budget and commercial awareness.
- Ability to learn quickly and demonstrate evidence of using a 'problem-solving' approach.
- Ability to build strong working relationships with and effectively manage internal and external stakeholders.
