Senior Mental Health Practitioner - Wakefield

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our all-age Substance Use Treatment Service in Wakefield. This role will work closely with our Principal Practitioner Psychologist to provide bespoke support and care packages to individuals with Dual Diagnosis needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to support clients with complex mental health needs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless service delivery and effective risk management.
  • Provide clinical supervision and support to junior staff members, promoting professional development and growth.
  • Contribute to the development of our Dual Diagnosis offer, ensuring alignment with best practices and recovery models.
  • Engage with local mental health services to facilitate access to necessary support and resources for clients.
Requirements
  • Doctorate in Clinical, Counselling, or Forensic Psychology or RMN or CQSW/DipSW or Occupational Therapist.
  • Proven experience in working with individuals with complex mental health needs and Dual Diagnosis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of recovery models, mental health issues, and risk management principles.
  • Ability to travel across the Wakefield area to support service users and staff.
