Overview

Apollo is seeking a Senior Piping & Layout Engineer to contribute to our expanding portfolio of piping-related projects and to engage in the technical oversight of the broader piping team. This role is based in our central Aberdeen offices on a contract basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing practical design solutions while considering manufacturing, testing, construction, commissioning, operational, and decommissioning factors.
  • Ensuring that engineering activities comply with relevant regulations, internal protocols, recognized industry standards, and client requirements.
  • Collaborating within a piping team to achieve project deliverables within established budgets and timelines.
  • Conducting quality assurance checks and approvals for all piping-related documentation and outputs.
  • Keeping abreast of current regulations, industry standards, design methodologies, and engineering technologies.
  • Formulating technical and commercial proposals related to piping projects.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in engineering design and construction within the Oil and Gas sector or other regulated industries.
  • Expertise in the design and layout of process plants and piping systems for offshore platforms, FPSOs, petrochemical, and pharmaceutical facilities.
  • Familiarity with modeling software such as Naviworks, AutoCAD, and Plant 3D.
