Job Summary

Wood PLC is seeking a highly skilled Principal Piping Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality piping engineering solutions that meet our clients' needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Delivery: Lead and manage piping engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget and quality standards.
  • Discipline Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, ensuring that piping engineering solutions are optimized and meet industry standards.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior engineers, providing coaching and development opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Process Ownership: Develop and maintain piping engineering procedures and guidelines, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in audits and incident investigations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance piping engineering processes.
Requirements
  • Education: MSc, MEng, or equivalent professional qualification in a relevant field.
  • Professional Qualifications: Chartered Engineer or recognized equivalent.
  • Technical Competence: Proven expertise in piping engineering, with a strong understanding of industry standards and best practices.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex engineering concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Continuous Professional Development: Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, staying up-to-date with industry trends and technologies.
