As a Design Manager, you will play a pivotal role in formulating and executing technical, preconstruction, and design initiatives and strategies, ensuring alignment with both company and project objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical and design guidance to the sales team on selecting the appropriate product solution for each firm bid submission.
- Offer technical and design support for all firm bid submissions, ensuring quick responses to sales team inquiries during this period and managing all necessary design deliverables for the submission.
- Provide structural markups and commentary for all firm bid submissions, as well as guidance and assistance on fabric buildups to meet thermal, acoustic, and fire requirements.
- Offer guidance and assistance on design timelines for firm bid programs.
- Attend and provide support to the sales team in client meetings requiring design input. Challenge and assist the design team in detailing with cost considerations.
- A minimum of 7 years of proven experience in Design or Technical roles.
- Working with or alongside Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractors.
- Previous experience in the energy and construction sectors is highly desirable.
- Relevant degree qualification – BSc Design, Architecture and/or Engineering or similar.
