About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Site Manager to join our Science & Higher Education division on a permanent, full-time basis. As a Senior Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing site operations in Addlestone, supporting the delivery of all aspects of the project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee site operations and ensure the safe delivery of the project
  • Manage smaller contracts within the wider project scope
  • Plan, manage, and coordinate all relevant resources needed to deliver the operational aspects of the project
  • Recognize and promote best practice throughout the project
  • Work calmly under pressure and provide reassurance and leadership to all Walter Lilly production staff on the project
  • Embrace technology and modern methods of construction and strive for efficiencies
  • Problem solver with the ability to break issues down and derive results
  • Extensive knowledge of programme management and control
  • Recognize the importance of change management and the associated risks
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills, inspiring and motivating others
  • Provide mentor support to Graduate/Trainee Site Managers where required/allocated
  • Ability to understand the landscape of Walter Lilly clients and consultants, the different roles, their competition and peers
  • Ability to understand what information is needed to report internally on developing relationships and project opportunities
Requirements
  • Qualifications appropriate to the role
  • Extensive knowledge on safe systems of work and putting people to work safely
  • Ability to plan and maintain a site setup which is appropriate for the scale of the project
  • Significant experience of Walter Lilly market sectors and extensive knowledge of the operational requirements to deliver these projects
  • Obtain and maintain the necessary health and safety qualifications required for the role. CSCS, SMSTS and First Aid are mandatory
