Responsibilities
  • Drive continuous improvement in the value stream to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Oversee planning, assigning, and directing work; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems in a positive and constructive manner.
  • Collaborate with other supervisors to ensure the production schedule and commitments are maintained, promoting a culture of teamwork and accountability.
  • Partner with quality, engineering, and maintenance departments to resolve problems with quality, processes, equipment, or materials in a timely and effective manner.
  • Oversee scheduling, production, and inspection required per the value stream, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Complete Daily Metric Tracker, scrap records, training records, and other documentation as required, maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Produce accurate production reporting of work orders to ensure component inventory accuracy.
  • Study production work schedules and estimate employee hour requirements for completion of job assignments, establishing or adjusting work procedures to meet production/department schedules and goals.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to 5S requirements, to facilitate manufacturing functions.
  • Support communication by conducting daily pre-shift huddles, fostering a culture of open communication and collaboration.
  • Manage employee issues and problems, providing timely and effective resolutions.
  • Implement initiatives to improve morale and motivation, promoting a positive work environment.
  • Complete annual performance reviews for operators in the area of responsibility, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Comply with the policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements of the TCF Quality System, ensuring a culture of quality and excellence.
  • Read and interpret documents, such as policies and procedures, work instructions, and standards, demonstrating a high level of literacy and comprehension.
  • Manage multiple responsibilities and personnel with little to no supervision, showcasing exceptional leadership and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, utilizing technology to enhance productivity and efficiency.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND REQUIRED TRAINING

  • Bridge Crane Training
  • Fall Protection Training
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS

To successfully perform the essential function of this position, employees must have the ability to:

  • Occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is continuously exposed to moving mechanical parts and extreme heat. The employee is occasionally exposed to high places, fumes or airborne particles and/or caustic chemicals. Each and every employee must understand and continually work within the safety and health rules and policies.
