Responsibilities:


  2. Drive continuous improvement in the value stream.
  3. Responsible for planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems in a positive and constructive manner.
  4. Confers with other supervisors to ensure the production schedule and commitments are maintained.
  5. Partner with the quality, engineering, and maintenance departments to ensure problems with quality, processes, equipment, or materials are resolved correctly in a timely manner.
  6. Oversee the scheduling, production, and inspection required per the value stream.
  7. Complete Daily Metric Tracker, scrap records, training records, and other documentation as required.
  8. Complete production reporting of work orders to ensure accuracy of component inventory.
  9. Studies production work schedules and estimates employee hour requirements for completion of job assignments. Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production/department schedules and goals.
  10. Uphold 5S requirements and maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.
  11. Support communication by having daily pre-shift huddles.
  12. Daily management of employee issues and problem resolution.
  13. Improve morale and motivation through implementation.
  14. Complete annual performance reviews for operators in the area of responsibility.
  15. Comply with the policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements of the TCF Quality System.
  16. Ability to read and interpret documents, such as policies and procedures, work instructions, and standards.
  17. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and personnel with little to no supervision.
  18. Proficiency with Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.


Certifications, Licenses, Registrations and Required Training:

The following certifications and training, if required, will be provided by the company:




  • Bridge Crane Training
  • Fall Protection Training


Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

To successfully perform the essential function of this position, employees must have the ability to:




  • Occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds.


Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is continuously exposed to moving mechanical parts and extreme heat. The employee is occasionally exposed to high places, fumes or airborne particles and/or caustic chemicals. Each and every employee must understand and continually work within the safety and health rules and policies.
