Job Title:

Project Engineer - Pharmaceutical Client

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to support a pharmaceutical client in Northumberland. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing vendor relationships, creating and managing schedules, and overseeing the process of booking-in vendors and managing RAMS.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage vendor relationships for delivery, installation, and commissioning of packaged equipment.
  2. Create and manage schedules for vendor visits.
  3. Oversee the process of booking-in vendors and managing RAMS.
  4. Engage with end users to communicate and plan vendor visit schedules.
  5. Act as host during vendor visits.
  6. Manage schedules to agreed project timelines.
  7. Coordinate with vendors to deliver quoted packages.
  8. Coordinate with vendors for commissioning.
  9. Project manage to deliver the project.
  10. Coordinate key contractors and elements of work.
  11. Liaise with and manage key stakeholder expectations.
  12. Monitor project budget and provide accurate monthly reports.
  13. Attend daily update meetings.
  14. Ensure compliance with all HSE & CDM requirements.
  15. Develop and update project schedules defined appropriately according to project stage-gate.
  16. Identify, record, and monitor project risks, seeking escalation where required.
Requirements:
  1. Degree in a relevant science or engineering discipline.
  2. Previous experience of packaging line upgrades and chiller replacements.
  3. Strong understanding of the principles of Good Manufacturing Practices.
  4. Junior to intermediate level Project Engineer/Project Manager with experience in managing cross-functional teams, delivering complex manufacturing facility and processing projects, in a highly automated GMP production environment.
  5. Demonstrated capacity to effectively manage and execute projects from initiation to completion.
  6. Understands project management process; programming, scope development, design development, implementation, and project closeout.
  7. Execution/adherence – demonstrated record of on-time delivery.
  8. Ability to work with end users on developing operating procedures, maintenance, and calibration plans.
  9. Onsite Outside IR35 Contract.
