Role Summary:

The Strategic Partnerships Manager plays a crucial role in driving business growth through the establishment and management of key partnerships. This position involves not only direct sales activities aimed at identifying and engaging new partners but also entails nurturing existing relationships. You will oversee a diverse portfolio of partners, which may include financial brokers, accountants, and payment service providers, all of whom have access to a variety of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Your objective will be to expand your portfolio by acquiring new partners while enhancing the performance of current partners through effective training and relationship management strategies aligned with the company's growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a robust portfolio of partnerships in new markets from the ground up.
  • Identify and secure partnerships with a range of referral sources, including brokerages, financial advisors, and accountants, as well as unconventional partners such as franchisors, covering all aspects from origination to closing.
  • Create and implement a scalable account management strategy, demonstrating measurable outcomes from the initiatives undertaken.
  • Formulate and execute a comprehensive new business acquisition strategy in collaboration with the Broker Partnerships lead across Germany and Europe, utilizing various tools at your disposal.
  • Engage in marketing initiatives such as webinars, newsletters, and thought leadership to promote partnership opportunities.
  • Manage relationships with existing partners to ensure continued collaboration and growth.
  • Focus on acquiring new business through both new and existing partners, employing training initiatives and hosting relationship management events.
  • Design and deliver engaging training sessions, webinars, or workshops, effectively presenting to partners and their teams.
  • Support the European Business Development Lead with key partners and contribute to the development of efficient processes for portfolio management and partner acquisition.
  • Leverage networking skills through social media and attend relevant events to identify potential partners.
  • Be willing to travel and organize social events for partners to strengthen relationships.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in partnership sales or business development within the financial services or e-commerce sectors.
  • Proven track record of achieving revenue targets through the origination, negotiation, and closure of partnership agreements.
  • Demonstrated experience in prospect outreach and developing effective targeting strategies.
  • Ability to report on personal and jurisdictional performance in a clear and concise manner to senior management.
  • Strong understanding of commercial risk management and mitigation.
  • Capable of simplifying complex solutions to effectively communicate with senior management.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable with accountability.
  • Desire to contribute to the success of a rapidly growing organization.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
