Job Description

As a Gatehouse Administrator at Great Bear, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our site. Your primary responsibility will be to effectively manage vehicles from receipt to despatch, working closely with the Shift Managers and Gatehouse Supervisor to achieve this goal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately and efficiently process vehicle movements, ensuring timely and secure in-gate and out-gate operations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to drivers, responding to queries and resolving issues in a professional manner.
  • Liaise with Operations Controllers to coordinate warehouse activities and allocate bays for vehicles.
  • Conduct thorough checks and seal vehicles on exit, verifying paperwork and load details.
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation for inbound and outbound vehicles.
  • Utilize the inbound schedule to book deliveries into allocated slots, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Monitor CCTV footage to maintain site security and assist with security checks as needed.

Requirements:

  • High level of attention to detail and organizational skills to manage workload effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a proactive and flexible approach.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Proficiency in MS packages and ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, with a strong commitment to quality and accuracy.
